Priorities Survey - Results
To assist in setting priorities, the GBID Steering Committee undertook a survey of the business community in the CBD. Opinion was sought in three areas, results of which are summarised below.
Quality of life problems identified
When asked to select any number of 12 quality of life problems, businesses responded as follows (click right image for larger view)
Services in need of improvement
When asked to select any number of services from a list of 20, businesses responded as follows. These results might also indicate the need for some education of businesses. The relatively high response on security cameras could well mean that some businesses do not know that CCTV is in place and working, and the use made of footage by the Police.

Highest priorities for Gosford City Centre
The survey asked businesses to list their three highest priorities for the Gosford City Centre. A total of 129 priorities were recorded (some businesses chose not to complete this section of the questionnaire), and we have grouped them as indicated in the chart below.
The Steering Committee notes the relative high ranking of parking as a priority. However, as Gosford Council is currently undertaking a Strategic Parking Study for the City Centre, it believes it is appropriate to await results of that study before investigating any additional initiatives.
We are using these results to build our Business Plan for 2008/09, which we will publish on this site when it is completed.
